It is with great pride that we can share that the Coolbinia Bombers Junior Football Club was named as a Winner in the 2016 Community Service Excellence Awards.

The Award comes as recognition for our Starkick All Abilities Football Program, which the club launched in 2015 and runs from our Healthway supported –  Go for 2&5 All Abilities Football Centre.

To reach the Finalists stage in our Category, we thought, was a wonderful achievement. To then take out this Award in front of some amazing organisations, for our Club and our Community it is simply mind blowing.

Our community football club like so many around the country runs on the blood, sweat, and tears of its many wonderful parents and Volunteers. Last night the Coolbinia Bombers JFC stood tall alongside a range of organisations far better funded and resourced than a Junior Football Club can ever dream of.

Hon Tony Simpson MLA – Minister for Local Government; Community Services; Seniors and Volunteering; Youth released this Media statement on the Awards. Notably featuring Coolbinia Starkick as the lead story.

We are so proud, and wish to acknowledge the amazing support of all our Club’s partners and supporters, without which we could not continue to do what we do.

We also wish to acknowledge Life and previous Committee Members of the club. From all your hard work in building such a strong community focused culture, the heartbeat of which continues strongly till this day.

From your combined support we have been able to create a unique program that revolves around our great game of Australian Rules Football.

Our goal is one day every child no matter their needs, no matter where the live, will have the opportunity to play the greatest game in the world.
