IDPWD – Coolbinia Bombers Junior Football Club partnership with the Fremantle Dockers Foundation, selected as 2016 finalists for the 10th National Disability Awards.

For our ongoing work in ensuring all children in our community get the chance to play our great game, the Coolbinia Bombers JFC who proudly run our Starkick program from our Healthway Go for 2&5 All Abilities Football Centre, were selected as a Finalist in the 2016 National Disability Awards as part of IDPWD. (Starkick were 1 of only 4 Finalists selected from all around Australia)  The Awards Ceremony was held in the Great Hall of Parliament House Canberra on the 7th November 2016, and although we didn’t take out the overall prize it was an enormous recognition for how our Club is leading the way.

Our Local MP Hon Tim Hammond was so impressed he took to the Floor of the House of Representatives to give this speech to the Parliament (Video of speech below)
