Jedd Busslinger – State Schoolboys U15’s 2019

Jedd has been part of the Coolbinia Bombers football community from 2009 when he started as a 5 year-old playing Auskick. In 2018 and again in 2019 Jedd holds the honour of being the Coolbinia Bombers JFC Boys’ Club Captain, as well as playing in our Year 10 Boys team.

Jedd is representing Western Australia in the U15 team competing in the Australian Championship being held in Tasmania, late July 2019. This is the second time Jedd has played for the State Schoolboys as 3 Years ago Jedd was also selected in the State U12 team.

Jedd and his family are an amazing and very valued part of our Bombers community. We salute Jedd and all of the Busslinger family and wish him well in the upcoming Carnival

Here is a Q&A with Jedd.

Favourite memory playing with the Bombers?
The year I won Auskicker of the year Joel Selwood ran a footy clinic for me and my team on Coolbinia oval. He brought his brother Scott along to help as a surprise.

Best advice you’ve received about playing football?
Enjoy playing and always try your hardest no matter the stage of the game or the opponent.

What do you like best about playing Football?
I enjoy playing with my mates and working hard to win games.

Favourite Position?  Centre half Forward

Favourite AFL Player? Joel Selwood from Geelong,

Favourite Teams? Geelong and East Perth Football Club Inc

Where were you / how did you found out you were in the state team?
After several weeks of trials and going to a camp for 3 days we were informed the team would be announced that night so I was at home waiting nervously for the list to be put up on the website. When I found out that I had made the team I was very excited and relieved.

What are you looking forward to most playing for WA at the State Championships?
I am looking forward to a big challenge and trying to play the best football I can and hopefully winning the competition

What Other Sports do you play?
I play District Cricket in the summer season for Mt Lawley.

What Is The Best Compliment you’ve received?
Being awarded Coolbinia Boys’ Club Captain for 2018 and 2019 football season
