Congratulations – to our Coolbinia Bombers State Team Representatives. Female Football has never been so strong with five girls receiving State honours in 2021, well done ladies.

State Schoolgirls U12’s, Amelie Carrabba

Amelie started playing football in our Bomberettes Auskick Girls program when she was five years old.

Her determination to play led to her earning a place as the only girl in her primary school football team.
Amelie currently plays with the Year 7/8 Girls Red team. She is also training with the State Schoolgirls U12’s in preparation for some intrastate matches.

State Schoolgirls U15’s & State U17’s Girls
Lucy Greenwood

Lucy currently plays with the Year 9/10 Girls Red team, having joined Coolbinia in 2017.

She has played over 50 games with the Bombers, having reached her milestone last year. Lucy has been selected to both the State Schoolgirls U15’s team and the State U17’s this year, which is a huge achievement.

Lucy played in two intra state matches at the ARC with the State U17’s, after training with the State Academy group. She is currently training with the State Schoolgirls U15’s in preparation for intrastate matches.

State U17’s Girls, Mia Pappas

Mia started playing community football with Coolbinia in 2020 and was selected to the Metro Central Development squad in her first year.

In 2021, Mia has been playing with the East Perth Rogers Cup team and was selected to the State U17’s
team, playing in the two intrastate matches at the ARC last month. We are hoping to welcome Mia back to the Year 9/10 group at the end of the Rogers Cup season.

State U17’s Girls, Tannah Lee

Tannah is another who started playing club footy with Coolbinia in 2020 and was
invited to the Metro Central Development squad in her first year. Tannah has had a
stellar season with Swan Districts in the Rogers Cup competition and played with the
State U17’s team in the two intrastate matches.

State U17’s Girls, Chloe Hamer-Mathew

Chloe has been with the Bombers since 2016, working hard on her craft as an inside midfielder. In 2020 she was invited to the West Coast Eagles High Performance Academy and selected in the Metro Central Development squad. Chloe was also awarded the 2020 Runner Up Fairest and Best in the Central Conference Year 9/10 Girls competition.

Season 2021 has seen Chloe play with the East Perth Rogers Cup team and she was selected for the State U17’s team. Chloe missed the recent games with injury, but we are wishing her all the best with her recovery and are so proud of her efforts.
